Abstract:

In the field of education, questioning is an important method for facilitating teaching/learning and assessing students’ general understanding of the learning materials. Some students manually create these questions to guide them as they learn. Teachers and students manually creating such questions require extensive human effort and expert knowledge.

In this talk, we look at an overview of a text-based question generation solution that aims to produce legible and pedagogically-salient questions from a given textual content to provide meaningful learning experiences, where the answer to the question can be found or derived from the content.
