Prof. Nii Narku Quaynor, popularly known as the father of the internet in Africa, is a Ghanaian scientist and engineer.
He established the first internet provider in Ghana and West Africa, operated by Network Computer Systems in 1994. He then assisted in implementing the transformational new technology in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2007, he was awarded the Jonathan B. Postel Service award for his pioneering work in advancing the internet in Africa.
