Abstract:

Bearing the "Software Engineer/Developer" title is really great giving the fact that it takes so much to become one. But, it's not just a great title, there are also great responsibilities attached to it especially in this era where cyber attacks are on the rise. Now the question is, cyber security is an entire field, should I transition from software engineering to it in order to help fight against cyber attacks? The answer is "not necessarily" but you should definitely know the impact of what you are building in somebody's life if it's not built with security in mind.
