Abstract:

The Open Source Movement is becoming increasingly popular in Africa, with more and more people joining the ecosystem. A great deal of awareness exists on how to get started in Open source or making your first contribution. While this is certainly a good thing, we need to emphasize career development in open source.

The purpose of this session is to highlight practical steps for growing in the open source community. My talk will discuss how to make the most out of your open source career journey from your first encounter through impressive and impeccable career progression.
