About D. Deborah
Deborah Dormah Kanubala is the co-founder of Parité Ethical AI Labs and a Doctoral Researcher student at Universität des Saarlandes, Germany. Her research focuses on developing fair machine learning models. Prior to her PhD, she worked as an NLP Engineer at Proto and also lectured at Academic City University. Ms. Kanubala is a recipient of several scholarships and grants, including the Mastercard Foundation Scholar Grant, DAAD Doctoral Grant, and the Alumnode Project Grant. She has been listed in 120+ Women Speaheading Advances in AI, 80 African women Advancing AI, 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics list for 2024 and many more.
